Accessibility

At the Fraser Coast Wildlife Sanctuary, we aim as much as possible to provide a welcoming and inclusive experience for all.

Support persons or carers who hold a valid Companion Card and are accompanying guests with disabilities are offers complimentary entry.

Wheelchair, Pram and Stroller Access

  • Access to the reception and Sanctuary is via wooden ramps which are suitable for wheelchairs, prams, and strollers.

  • The grounds of the Sanctuary are reasonably level, and the paths are predominantly gravel which can be navigated by wheelchairs, prams and strollers.

Accessible Features

  • Accessibity Car Parking is located near the entrance ramp.

  • Accessibity Toilet and Parent Change Room is available in the main office.

Assistance and other Companion Animals

Whilst we appreciate the difficulties of being without your assistant or companion animal, we are unable to allow them into the Sanctuary grounds. This is because we are a free-range wildlife sanctuary with no fences to separate the kangaroos, wallabies, emus and other wildlife from our guests. In this context the mere presence of even the best trained assistance or companion animal is likely to cause stress and unpredictable behaviour amongst our animals which could pose significant risk to both our guests and animals.
